Paris Saint-Germain, 2026 Champions League Winners
Although many of you may have already celebrated over the weekend, today we want to congratulate one of Soccer Camps Pro’s partners. It is none other than Paris Saint-Germain, 2026 Champions League winners! After a nail-biting final, the Parisian club finally defeated Arsenal in a penalty shootout. As you can see, the match was quite evenly matched.
This is the second consecutive Champions League title the club has won under coach Luis Enrique. We would therefore like to congratulate everyone involved who has helped this team achieve this and so many other victories. Without a doubt, they are a great role model both in Europe and around the world.
Highlights of the 2026 Champions League Final
The match between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, both partners of Soccer Camps Pro, took place last Saturday, May 30, at 6:00 p.m. in Budapest. The Puskás Arena hosted the clash between these two titans of European soccer. In the previous semifinals, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal had defeated Bayern (also a Soccer Camps Pro partner) and Atlético de Madrid, respectively.
Just five minutes into the match, Kai Havertz scored for Arsenal, keeping them in the lead for most of the game. It was in the 64th minute that Paris Saint-Germain tied the game on a penalty kick by Dembélé. That’s when things got interesting, as the match went into extra time.
After several promising but unsuccessful attempts, it looked as though the match would go the full 120 minutes and then to a penalty shootout. That’s exactly what happened, and the tension surrounding each penalty kick was palpable. In the end, it was Paris Saint-Germain that prevailed in the shootout and lifted the Champions League trophy.
Arsenal, another well-deserved champion
Unfortunately, no tournament can be won by two teams at the same time. For one to win, the other had to lose. At Soccer Camps Pro, we certainly would have loved to see a three-way match between Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern, and Arsenal. But that wasn’t possible… And in this case, it was Arsenal that finished in second place behind their French rivals.
But we want to highlight the tremendous achievement they made throughout the tournament on their way to the final.
