What to expect of a Soccer Camp

Whether you are the person who is going to participate, or one of the parents, you may be wondering what to expect of a soccer camp. If you haven’t been to one before, or if you’re not sure how they work, we’re going to explain it to you.

We will also detail what the day-to-day life of a soccer camper is like. If you have any other questions, we remind you of our post on Frequently Asked Questions about soccer camps.

day-to-day life of a soccer camper

What is the day-to-day life of a soccer camper like?

Once the camp is organised and all the registrations have been completed, it’s time to take to the field. The first day is always a first contact, but that doesn’t mean that there is no training.

The boys and girls, already with their equipment and all the necessary material, start to get to know each other. As there are several age groups, the coaches themselves organise the training so that it is balanced for everyone.

After the lunch break from 12:00pm to 13:00pm, the boys and girls put the finishing touches and the staff pack up. They return home to come back the next day with renewed strength.

training methodologies

Different clubs. Different camps

The staff is qualified to teach the different training methodologies according to each club. In each camp there are professional coaches, many of them coming from the club’s academy, so the guarantee of training with the same methodology of Bayern, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain or Benfica is assured.

The values of each club are also taught. That is why we have already mentioned on another occasion the importance of attending two or more soccer camps. The more information the participant gathers, the more complete he/she will be as a player.

Above all, the expectations should be that the participant enjoys and has a good time. It’s 5 days full of football and he or she will surely love training with his or her favourite club. But, above all, the goal should be to make friends, enjoy the sport and live a different experience.

training clinic in Europe

And after the camp?

It’s not all over when the camp ends. All participants can count on the opportunity to receive an invitation to live a totally different experience, a training clinic in Europe.

On this continent they would go directly to the official academy of the club they did the camp with in the USA or Canada. For example, if they did it with Bayern, they can have the opportunity to travel with their family to Munich.

While the youngsters enjoy training sessions at the club’s academy, the parents can take part in cultural activities in the city. In one of the past experiences, they were able to go on the Harry Potter tour in London, for example.

The most important thing in what to expect of a soccer camp is not to become a star player, but to learn how your favourite club trains and to enjoy the moment. At Soccer Camps Pro we want soccer campers to be better on the pitch, but also off the pitch, that’s why values are so important.
